I have a list of items sentences / paragraphs I copy and paste from a word document saved in one drive, opened in Word Online. When I paste however, hyperlinks do not copy, only the text. When I copy from the document opened in Word on the Desktop, the hyperlinks copy over ok. Anyway to fix this in word online?

    Hello Chris,

My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.

When copying and pasting content from a Word document in Word Online, it appears that hyperlinks are not being preserved. However, when you copy from the Word desktop application, the hyperlinks copy over correctly.

    1. Word Online operates within web browsers. Ensure that you are using a supported browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) and that it is up to date. Clear your browser cache and try again
    2. After copying the content from Word Online, try using the “Paste Special” option in the target program (e.g., another document or email). In most applications, you can find this option by right-clicking where you want to paste and selecting “Paste Special”. Choose “HTML” or “Keep Source Formatting” to retain hyperlinks.
