I'm revising a fairly large document that uses cross references to figures and tables. I've added a new figure, and I wish to cross reference the figure in the body of the document. On the References tab, I click Cross reference in the Captions group. In the dialog box, I see Numbered item as Reference type, but Figure does not appear in the list under "Insert Reference to:". I see only Page number, Paragraph number, and so on.
How do I fix this?

Instead of choosing "Numbered item" as the reference type, choose "Figure."
