One Drive Sync Issues - HELP!!

Hello and please HELP!

I work from home and my company uses One Drive.

Since this morning I noticed I was having a sync issue with my most important folder. Whenever I try to open a file, I get an error that says "Make sure OneDrive - NameofCompany is running on your PC, then try again."

Additionally, when I check the taskbar icon for sync issues it says the folder has been deleted or I no longer have permission to access it. I have checked with the account manager and I have access to this file. On top of the fact that going to the One Drive online shows me access to it just fine. So I've discarded this last error as being the true issue.

I have tried unlinking the PC and uninstalling One Drive while also making sure no trace is left behind before restarting the PC and downloading it again but that has not solved the problem.

I also asked the account manager to remove all permissions and grant them again just as a double check but the problem persists.

I am at a loss at this point for any solutions.

Please help!!

    Hi Aimee,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, to troubleshoot it further, please switch to another Windows user profile (if you don’t have another Windows user profile, please add another account on your PC), run the OneDrive client, and set up your OneDrive. Check if the problem still occurs or not.

If the problem doesn't occur in another Windows user profile, please post back and let us know.

If the problem still occurs, please report it to your organization admin or IT department. Your IT department can check whether the problem is caused by settings or policies, such as OneDrive Sync settings in the SharePoint admin center, or the profiles in the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center. Even if they haven't found the root cause, they can raise a support ticket for the relevant team to further investigate the issue

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    George | Microsoft Community Moderator
