Cannot change date format for Project for Web

As I am working in Europe, I have set up my Regional Format for dates in my settings to DD.MM.YYYY . However, Project for Web refuses to use this format, and insists on reverting back to M/D/YYYY. This happens both in the browser (confirmed for Edge and Firefox) and in Teams (both "old" and "new"). What am I missing?

    After contacting support, it seems that the date format is actually based on the selected Display Language, and the Regional Format settings are just ignored. For me this means that I am now using British English as my language of choice, rather than American.

    Seems like a bug to me, but could be a feature.

    Good day!

    I also did the test and my time format changed normally. Therefore, it is possible that a specific tenant is experiencing communication issues with the server.

    To further deal with this issue, I kindly recommended you can raise a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center, which the support there has the related permission and resource to help you check from the backend

    Waited for a full day, still the same issue. Also checked again on in Edge, Firefox, and Chrome. No joy.

    According to the official documentation, there is no problem with your setup :Set your language and date format in Project for the web - Microsoft Support

    Sometimes there may be delays. So I suggest you wait for a while to see if the format changes.

    You can also try switching a browser to see if you can see the format change
