Clipchamp handlerbars

Does anyone know how exactly to make an image on a timeline in Clipchamp have handlebars in order to adjust duration on an image? I thought handlebars would appear automatically on an image once the image is on the timeline just like the handlebars appear on a video. I tried holding shift key and ctrl key thinking that would make handlebars appear, but this did not happen. Thank you for your help.

    HI,

First you said "images in Clipchamp do not automatically display handlebars"

Then you say "Look for the green handlebars on the left and right sides of the selected image"

How can I locate the handles if it does not automatically show them?

    DL

I've asked the same question a while back and for the life of me I cannot remember how to do it and need it again.

This is because when I bring a picture in comes in the timeline as a fraction of a second so absolutely no handles visible until you scale up the timeline bar. To scale up the timeline bar is a right head scratcher as you have to go specifically to hover somewhere that would allow us to scale up that timeline in order to see the handles of the pictures. Can you remind me where that is because that is the real issue not dragging the handles once they are visible.

    Hello FG1000FG,

Thank you for writing us here in Microsoft Community.

Certainly! Let’s explore how to adjust the duration of an image on the Clipchamp timeline.

    1. Select the Image:
      • First, ensure that the image you want to adjust is on the timeline. Click on the image to select it.
    2. Locate the Handlebars:
      • Unlike videos, images in Clipchamp do not automatically display handlebars. However, you can manually adjust the duration.
      • Look for the green handlebars on the left and right sides of the selected image. These handlebars allow you to modify the image duration.
    3. Adjust the Duration:
      • To make the image duration longer, drag the left handlebar to the left.
      • To make the image duration shorter, drag the left handlebar to the right.

Remember, holding the Shift key or Ctrl key won’t activate handlebars for images. Instead, directly click on the green handlebars to adjust the duration according to your needs.
