Hi John thanks for answering ! I have now opened a PDF file at Office Plus 2019 and wanted to translate it and there was an error message: I should save the file as DOCX ! That's what I did and then I translated and lo and behold, it was a totally super translation! The translator didn't translate so funny anymore! I think I need to open a PDF file in Word and then change it to a DOCX file! I'll try it with the others too! You know, I have to translate English e-books into German! The English e-books are often much better written than Germans! Thank you for your help ! I'll get back to you tomorrow if it always works that way! I wish you a nice evening ! Greeting Michi

Another important question: How exactly does this Microsoft Translator translate? Just as good as Babylon NG, Deepl PRO or Promt etc? Thank you very much for the help ! Greeting Michi

    Hi @Michael Sauermoser ,
What version of Office did you use?
Did this problem appear in all Word documents or specific documents?
Try to create a new document with type words in document and check if the Translator feature works fine.
I also suggest you check this article to get more information about Translator:

Hello expert, I am using Microsoft Office Professional 2019 ! I can now translate all Docx files without any problems! But somehow I can't translate PDF, TXT or other files! The text is so funny! As I said, I do it like this now: I open a PDF file in Word and save it as a Docx and then I translate ! Thank you I will read the article you mentioned right away ! If it's better to buy the new Microsoft 365, then that's no problem! I can afford it! Thank you and all the best! Greeting Michi
