Removing Someone's Write Access in Sharepoint/Excel

I have an Excel file in Sharepoint that I have given someone write access to. I'd like to remove that so that they only have read access but I can't seem to figure out how to do so. When I go to "Manage Access", it shows me that person has write access, but when I click the pencil to ideally change this to "Read Only" the dropdown is greyed out and only shows "Can Edit" instead of letting me change it. It states they have "Direct Access".

I am the owner of the file and there are others who have the same permissions that I am able to remove if necessary, but this one person seems to not be editable.

Is there something I'm missing?
