I have been trying to find information / anyone who can advise exactly regarding Windows Server 2019, however have not succeeded as yet. For someone who has not worked with a "server" before, my questions are:

  1. Ideally, who do I contact / where do I go to get presales advice/support? The Microsoft contact number in my country just goes to Elevator Music, after a pre-recorded message, and then cuts out. None of the computer shops which I have contacted so far have been able to advise.
  2. Is the Windows Server 2019 license perpetual? I have seen some shops specifically selling a "Perpetual" license.
  3. Is Windows Server 2019 Essentials fine to run a Web Server from?
  4. Is there any special licensing needed in order to allow Remote Desktop access?
  5. For a simple Web Server, why should I use Windows Server as opposed to e.g. just Windows 10 (one thing which I have noticed is that Visual Studio Web Deploy does not seem to be installable on Windows 10)?

It seems you have a lot queries to be answered

Select get support in the link and wait in the line , it is tedious but you will surely be answered .

    1. To run a Web service , You can but the essentials server must be a root domain controller and must have all (FSMO) roles.
    2. For Remote Desktop access ,Each user and device that connects to a Remote Desktop Session host needs a client access license (CAL). You use RD Licensing to install, issue, and track RDS CALs.
