Hi there Yvonne R,
Welcome to Microsoft Community
I'm Bobadoye and I'd be happy to help you out with your question.
Apologies for the inconvenience, I will advise you to ignore any link or attachment sent to you through that email, you can also take extra security step to make sure that your account is secured, you can do that by creating a stronger password (A strong password contains letters, numbers, punctuation, symbols, and numbers) and enabling two-step verification for your email account, this will help protect your account by making it harder for a hacker to get in, even if they have your password. Whenever you sign in from an untrusted device, you will be asked to enter a security code.
You can enable two-step verification by signing in to your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/) with your email address, go to security>Advanced security options>Two-step verification.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.
If the reply was helpful, please don’t forget to upvote or accept as an answer, thank you.
Best Regards,
Bobadoye
