Excel Android App: Date Locale Bug

Question

When I open an Excel file with the Android Excel app, the date values are formatted using Android system language Locale. This is very annoying because on my Windows PC I have different settings for system language and regional settings/Locale. This should also be available for the Excel app on Android, especially when I saved the file in German Locale instead of English Locale.

Unfortunately, as of this moment, there is no option to set the date format in Excel for Android devices. This capability is only available when using a PC. The lack of this feature is due to differences in operating systems and features, and changing the date format is one of the features not currently available on Excel for Android. Therefore, I recommend submitting feedback to Microsoft for them to consider adding this feature in the future. To submit feedback, open your Microsoft 365 app, select your profile picture in the top left, and choose "Send Feedback."
