Thank you for the response. I have one other question. is there a way when excel pages open up to have them open on the desktop excel and not the app so people can edit them on their side and not the app excel? or can i change permissions that would allow them to edit them on the app and not change the original so next person that opens it doesn't see what the other person did.

    Dear emubigdog,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft community. We are delighted to offer our assistance.

I'm sorry I didn't fully understand your needs, but are you opening the file on a mobile device or on a computer? Do you mean you want the file to open in the Excel client and not in Teams? Please help us with further information so we can help you figure out.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Have a great day.

    Sincerely,

    Dear emubigdog,

    Thanks for your reply,

There is an option to change the default open application inside Teams.

    Have a great day.
