I have an Excel file, If you open it, there's a chart. The chart has some categories selected. If you upload to SharePoint, it changes the selected categories.

In Excel on my desktop:

Same file/chart in SharePoint:

I've tried deleting and recreating the same chart, renaming the categories, recreating the tab, no luck.

Yeah, I think there is a bug in desktop also. In desktop, if you right click and do Select Data again, and then just click OK, it matches the SharePoint version. However, you gave me an idea that I just tested and it worked. Apparently, if you unhide row 9, then reset the chart, it's resolved. Not sure why, but maybe it has to do with the fact that rows hidden affect the filtering, so it gets confused with the categories hidden as well.

So I put this in Google Drive, and you can see it looks different when you open it in Sheets than if you download. If you download the file and re-upload to SharePoint, you should see something similar.
