Highlighted Content - inconsistent filtering by date

I've been trying to adjust my SharePoint highlighted content to show files that are BRAND NEW to my Documents library. When I filter "Recently added" and "earlier this month" or "earlier this week", it works and only shows me files that are brand new files. (I do not want to see existing files that have been replaced or just had information updated, like the file name.)

The problem is that I want it to be a running list so that I can show the brand new uploads to my Document library. It's the 2nd of the month so "earlier this month" only includes 2 days. "Earlier this week" is limited to 7 days and for some reason, "earlier this year" seems to include ALL uploads (replaced PDFs to existing files) that I do not want included. Even if earlier this year worked, I think I would have problems when it's January and I still want to see the list from the previous November or December.

Do you know of a way to only include brand new uploads to the Document library but also keep it like a "the last 60 days" or something like that? I don't know anything about Custom query and have limited SharePoint knowledge but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you Stacey. I'm looking to do this in the Highlighted Content "widgit" on the SharePoint group page and not as a view in the library. I appreciate your suggestion but I'm curious to know if I would need to manually change that date filter to maintain it?

    Dear DiLores

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft support.

To only include brand new uploads to the Document library, you can try creating a custom view with a filter that only shows items created within the last 60 days. Here are the steps to create a custom view:

    1. Go to your Document library and click on the "Library" tab in the ribbon.
    2. Click on "Create View" and select "Standard View".
    3. Give your view a name and select the columns you want to display.
    4. Under the "Filter" section, select "Created" and set the filter to "is greater than or equal to" and enter a date that is 60 days ago from today's date.
    5. Save your view and set it as the default view.

This should only show items that were created within the last 60 days. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    Stacey
