Copilot API how to send Prompt

Hi ,

I was just browsing the Copilot API and trying to do a prompt using the API from Postman, there is nothing in the microsoft API documentation that talks about sending prompts:

https://docs.copilot.com/reference/quickstart

I was able to get silly things working like getting my name using https://api.copilot.com/v1/me , but I already know my name :(

How can I ask Copilot tougher questions via API?

Can I also upload files via the API and ask Copilot questions about its content also via the API?

Open AI makes clear in their documentation on how to do it: https://platform.openai.com/docs/api-reference/making-requests

I was trying to compare the two , but so far not impressed with Copilot. Im hoping someone can change my perception

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I wish micorsoft would can do better job in guiding people to the write documentation. I did a google search, ping search and I could not find the link you sent me , instead I got so many references and none of them helped. I even ask Copilot it self and it did not list that reference:

I mean even if Copilot doesnt know where to find the right microsoft you pointed me to about itself. How do you expect users to find it?

I'm also trying to achieve the same. Use REST API to get responses from MS Copilot something like

    curl -X POST "https://xxx.****/..." -H "Authorization: Bearer xxx" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"query": "weather information in Houston, TX"}'
