    Thank you for the feedback.

I'm sorry, but unfortunately, I don't have any further troubleshooting to offer.

Many knowledgeable users are active on the forum, and I hope someone else can offer further insight into your issue.

    Hi John F!

I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

When you get the error message that "this product can't be installed on the selected update channel", it simply means there is an issue with the installation location on the registry

    Please try the following:

    • Click your Start Windows, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
    • Click View and make sure the 'Address Bar' is turned on.
    • Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and press Enter.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun

In the left pane of the Registry Editor, is there a sub-folder of ClickToRun named Configuration?

If there is, right-click that Configuration key (folder) and delete it

    Check this also: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cloud

    • Right-click the cloud folder and then delete it
    • Then, restart (not shut down) your PC and
    • Try running the Microsoft Office installation again

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Thank you

    Best Regards, Shakiru
