Cannot Launch MS Project

Cannot Launch MS Project from App or Web once closed down, if I open before everything else on a restart it works, however, after using, saving and closing, cannot use MSP at all? Is there an update issue?

Hi MariaO_479,

I happened to run Task Manager and go through what was running, on there I found 6 or 7 instances of Project running so I deleted them all, seems to be working okay now, hope this helps.

    I'm having the same issue. I suspect there might be a conflict with something else I am running but it's not clear what. Not getting any error messages.

    Sometimes I can open Project (either by opening a Project file from Windows Explorer or from a Teams file (Open in Project)). But then other times I cannot open Project, either of those ways nor from the Start Menu. I'm running Project locally.

    When it doesn't open, it will have a short wait icon (round circle) but then that goes away. No error messages.

    Sometimes rebooting helps, but the last time I rebooted it didn't fix it.

    1. May I know if this issue occurs when you open the other Project files? Cannot Open any Project files, local or on SharePoint, can only view on WebApp
    2. You mentioned "Cannot Launch MS Project from App or Web once closed down", may I know if Project for web has the same problem? Can open to View but cannot use the same functionality as MSP
    3. May I know if you encountered any error message? If so, could you provide the screenshot of it? There are no error messages
