Cannot edit files on Android Tablet

I've been using my Home 2019 license on my laptop, android phone and android tablet (since 2022). However, MS suddenly stopped letting me edit my files on the tablet, asking me to purchase a subscription. Is there any way I can use it like before, without the need to pay extra? It's very weird since I just edited my files a couple of days ago.

    Hi Shakiru,

Thank you for your response. Although, it still is weird that I've been using it until about 4 days ago. Then, it suddenly stopped working yesterday without prior information or warning from MS.

    Hi Angela M!

I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

This simply means you are using the free version of Microsoft 365 on your Android tablet because Microsoft Office Home 2019 can only work on a PC and it is a single user.

To use Microsoft 365 on your Android tablet, you will need to subscribe to your Microsoft 365 subscription which can work across multiple devices.

Though there is a free version for mobile devices (Android) it has a screen size limit of less than 10.1 inches.

Please let me know how it goes and if you need any other assistance and I will be more than happy to help further.

    Thank you

    Best Regards, Shakiru
