Scroll Thumb locks in Data Validation Drop Down List

Hello!

I have several data validation drop down lists in a file for onboarding employees. When you first open the file, you can click into the drop down list and click on the scroll thumb to move (quickly) down the list. Within a minute of being in file, the once clickable scroll thumb locks and the only way to move down the list is with the down arrow. These drop down lists have 100+ options so its much faster to move down the list using the scroll thumb.

From research, sounds like other users have encountered this issue and the best solution was to de-install Microsoft 365 and reinstall. I tried that, built the file again from scratch but still the issue persists. Please note there is no scroll lock selected and the scroll thumb was working properly for past year. When I open the file in my one drive or within teams app, the scroll thumb works as it should and you can move freely down the list. Its only when opened in Excel does this issue occur.

    Hi there,

I'm hesitant to add a public link. Even though the info within the file is general its still an internal document. Is there a way to have you review file privately?

Could you share us a test file to reproduce your issue?

For sharing a sample workbook, upload to OneDrive or any other cloud drives. Then post a link here.
