Moving Sections between Notebooks in browser

I am currently experiencing synchronization issues between my OneNote app and online notebooks, leading me to rely solely on OneNote online due to the disruption in syncing. Despite attempting various solutions, my existing notebook appears outdated, prompting me to create a new one that successfully syncs.

Now, my challenge lies in transferring my work from the outdated notebook to the new one, a task easily accomplished in the app but proving more challenging online. Specifically, I am seeking guidance on how to copy pages, preferably entire sections, from the 'Assessments' notebook to the '2024' notebook using the online/browser version of OneNote. In the provided screenshots, it is evident that when I access the 'Assessments' section, the '2024' notebook is not visible. How can I successfully transfer sections between notebooks online?
For reference the syncing error i get is 0x2 bdf5f but none of the recommended solutions have worked

To be clear:

You cannot copy/move between two notebooks with OneNote Online because you cannot open more than one notebook.

Dear Cood1,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you encountered a sync error on a specific notebook. And now you want to move sections from this problematic one to a new one which syncs well.

May I confirm whether you still could see the contents of the problematic notebook in OneNote application on Windows? If yes, you can first open the new notebook in the application, and right click the section in the problematic notebook and choose "Copy"(not Move) from the context menu, then select the new notebook.

If you can't see the contents, we are afraid that you have to copy and paste pages between two notebooks manually.

If my understanding is wrong, please feel free to post back.

Sincerely,

Jazlyn | Microsoft Community Moderator
