BUG: http://view.officeapps.live.com partial document caching

The office online viewer does not follow Azure SAS token protocol, or URL expirations

  • Create azure SAS token to blob with PPT, XLSX, .DOC format
  • Set expiration to 5 seconds
  • Pass SAS url + token into office viewer
  • Wait 5 seconds
  • Office viewer will still load the data, where is it coming from? How long does it live there for?
  • If the SAS url is not accessible by web browser, why is it the document still able to be opened ~20% of the time.

If you copy, paste the link 10 times, about 2 requests will actually load the document even though its expired, and the others will result in a failure.

Hi Stacey, this bug report is in the correct place.. It does not have to do with Azure, or Azure Blob Storage.. It has to do with view.officeapps.live
