When trying to search for an online picture to insert in any MSOffice 2016 program, on my Windows 11 laptop I get Bad Request - Request Too Long HTTP Error 400: The size of the request headers is too long. I've repaired the program, I've deleted cookies in all my browsers, I've deleted the cache in office...nothing has worked. Help!

Try turning off optional connected experiences in Office. It helped our problems with adding pictures as signature.
    (

    1. Open any Microsoft 365 application.
    2. Go to File.
    3. Choose Account.
    4. Navigate to Manage Settings.
    5. Scroll down to Connected Experiences.
    6. Disable the service.

This did not work. I logged out of the office account and then logged back in...this seemed to fix the issue.

I'm not sure that's the answer to OP's problem, though ...

OP wants to insert online images. Turning off all connected experiences will disable that entirely, won't it?

Sorry, not true. Just the opposite, in fact.
