Watermarks!

Hi again, I use PowerPoint a lot and like doing presentations etc. I was reading a Microsoft article today about adding Watermarks etc. I am not to sure if I would use them but nice to know how! If I used a Watermark in my slide show, would I have to keep adding it to every "New" presentation I do? I thought it might stay as a "default" until I removed it!

You might create an empty presentation, add the watermark to the slide master, then save the presentation as a PowerPoint template (.potx).

You can then create new presentations based on the template using File > New.

As a rule, anything on the master or slide layout will be covered up by anything on an individual slide based on that master/layout. You can't get something on the master to float above the slide content.

It's possible to create/remove this sort of thing with a VBA macro though.

Hi HansV again, I was unsure if this post was still "live" so created another one! I used the same heading which was rejected. I still can't seem to be able to install a Watermark in my presentations. I am unsure what I am doing wrong. I use the Master slide and "send to the back" but my image or photo covers the watermark when added! If I click on the image or photo to drag it, the watermark shows until I release it then it is covered again!

I am obviously doing something wrong! I have watched various videos which all explain the same way.

Hi HansV, thank you for your speedy reply much appreciated. I have normally been doing a presentation and saving to Mp4 video. I will do as you suggest and keep a template for the next one!

    Thanks again
