Saving library as a template isn't keeping changes

I have a SharePoint Online library with a number of different columns. I have deleted a column want to save that library as a list. When I add that template, the column that I deleted has reappeared. How do I save the template and not have it include the deleted column?

Did you delete the column before save library as template?

Per my test, I saved a library as template after delete a column then add this template the deleted column didn't appear.

1.Delete column.

2.Save this library as template.
Settings > Library settings > Save document library as template

3.Classic site contents > add an app > select library template

My test result:

Hi @CaseyYang-MSFT

Yes, I had a library. I deleted the column. I saved that library as a template. Then I use that template and the column has reappeared.

I did delete the column before saving it as a template. There are also no views using that column. It still reappears.
