Customized Excel tab is suddenly missing

Question

Help!! I work almost all day in Excel spreadsheets so I had created a customized Excel tab and added some things on the quick access ribbon that had my most used/fave things. It was there this morning and then just a few minutes ago when I opened a spreadsheet it's now gone. I went to fle and then options and customized ribbon hoping it would be there but it's not. How can I get it back? I know I can go back and redo it and I remember the majority of what I had on there but I'd rather try and get it back. Please help me! I thank everyone in advance for their help and advice.

You can check if there was an update by selecting Start > Settings > Windows Update, then Check for updates, you should see the date and time of when was the last update took place.

Hello,

I'm using Microsoft 365. I'm not sure if there was an update or not. Is there a way to look and see?

I didn't know to export it often but I will do that going forward. I am going to check out the thread you mentioned in your reply now.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem. Can you provide what Office version do you have? And was there an update before this issue started?

Based on your description, it sounds like the customized ribbon tab that you created has disappeared. If this is correct, kindly note that when you create a customized tab, you need to export your customisations on a regular basis.
