Source formatting not kept even when pasting with "Keep source formatting" option in PowerPoint

I am having an issue pasting slides from one presentation to another. When I paste a slide into a new presentation, the formatting is incorrect (shapes resized, text overflow, etc.) even when I paste with "Keep source formatting". The font sizes and types are the same in both versions of the slide, and the slide master for the slide in each presentation is the same. What could be causing this and how can it be fixed?

Pasted into new presentation:

    Dear Jessica James3,

Good day. Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Based on the information you provided, I tested it on my side, and it seems correctly for me. I can’t reproduce the scenario you said.

To narrow down the issue and focus on the specific scenario you encountered, could you provide me some information below?

    1. Could you tell me which version of PowerPoint do you use? Please provide me the screenshot about it. File > Account and capture the screenshot of the product information.
    2. Do you have the same issue on other presentations?
    3. Do your colleagues have the same issue?

At the same time, please repair your Office application and check if it works correctly for you.

I searched the similar situation in this forum and found a thread you could refer to: How to keep slide formatting when copying between ppt presentations? - Microsoft Community.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Check the slide size of the presentation you're pasting INTO vs the slide size of the presentation you're pasting FROM.

If they're wildly different, that might be the cause of what you're seeing.

If so, instead of copy/pasting entire slides, create a new blank slide in the "target" presentation, then select everything on the "source" slide (CTRL + A), copy it then paste into the new "target" slide.
