I have a visual studio dev essentials license, and although in the benefits it includes a developer subscription E5, it still shows that I do not qualify. How can I activate it?

I am kind of running into a similar issue, trying to get the "Developer Subscription E5" benefit activated and get prepared for my MS-900 exam that is scheduled for 4 September 2024.

I see it in my Dev Essentials Subscription as one of the tiles, but when I click it, I keep getting the message that I don't currently qualify.

Now, the weird thing is this:

I decided to treat myself to the Visual Studio Professional (monthly) subscription and when I activate that subscription, I don't see a whole lot of the benefits that I see in my Dev Essentials subscription.

Since I'm going back to work after my summer holiday next Monday, time will be limited to prepare and it really doesn't help at all that it takes so much effort to get this thing activated so I'm really hoping someone can help me very soon.

This situation is wildly frustrating and I'm definitely not the only one running into this so please, please help us.

Thanks for the response, but as you can see below, there is no "get code" option although I have it in the list of benefits.

Hi, I am a Microsoft user just like yourself and I will try my best to help you as much as I can today.

To activate your Microsoft 365 E5 developer subscription through the Visual Studio Dev Essentials program, follow these steps:

Visit the Visual Studio Subscriptions page. Log in and navigate to the "Tools" category, then find and select the "Activate" option on the Microsoft 365 developer subscription tile. Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your region, accept the terms, and set up your subscription details.

This process will guide you through setting up your Microsoft 365 E5 developer sandbox. If you run into issues or find that you do not qualify, it may be helpful to verify your Visual Studio subscription status

See if that helps! Please let us know if you have any questions. Microsoft Support is available for further assistance if the issue continues.

    Best regards Deeksha
