Dear Community,

I have a user with windows 10 installed on his HP ENVY 13-aq1013dx Laptop. He was using it without any issue. But now all of asudden his speaker is making weird fan noises. I tried to update the bios. Also I tried updating his audio driver but its still no use. When I mute the speaker I dont hear the noise any more.

Kindly help me what could be the issue?

Thanks.

    Download and install both:

HP UEFI hardware diagnostics version 8.2.0.0 and HP diagnostics windows.

    https://www.hp.com/us-en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/pc-diags.html

Power on the computer and repetitively click F2 > overnight run the HP UEFI hardware diagnostics in extensive > loop until error > in the AM if there have been at least 2 loops > click esc > run the audio and any other component tests as needed > take pictures with a camera or smartphone camera > post images into this thread

For any problems posting images please use share links: one drive, drop box, or google drive

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

    msdt.exe /id AudioPlaybackDiagnostic
    msdt.exe /id DeviceDiagnostic

Using the snipping tool post images of the detailed results for each troubleshooter.

I think you should try on another system or appliance. Do you find any difference?
