Dear Preya Pillay
Good day!
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!
Based on your description, I understand you concern with Microsoft authenticator app issue.
It seems you have enabled Multi-factor authentication for your Microsoft account, which requires you to enter a code in addition to your username and password when signing in to certain Microsoft services.
May I know whether you are using Microsoft 365 Business subscription, Microsoft 365 Family/Personal account(Such as Outlook.com/Hotmail.com/live.com) or any other subscription?
If your account is Microsoft365 Work/School account and if you are end user/if you are admin but other user has admin rights, it is suggested to contact your admin and ask admin to reset the Authentication method for your account. Admin can do it by follow Manage user authentication options. (if you are not sure who is your admin, can refer this How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support).
If your account is Microsoft personal account (outlook.com/live.com/Hotmail.com), please reply back to us, so we can involve personal account team for further assistance.
For more information related to Authenticator app, you also can refer to Common questions about the Microsoft Authenticator app - Microsoft Support.
Thanks for your precious time and your understanding would be highly appreciated. Have a nice day!
