Hello, I have a question about your visio application. Im trying to replicate a stencil shape behavior.

For example there is a "selectable fan" in the Equipment - pumps stencil that will change its image based on a what a shape data value is (Fan Type). I want to do the same thing with a custom shape in a custom stencil, how would I do that?

I took a look at the shapes and they would be good training shapes to learn how to create or customize shapes.

    1. They are simple" shapes, they are not "group" shapes. So no intershape references
    2. They use Shape Data lists ... the Type is defined by General;Radial;Axial
    3. They useUser Cells. User Cells are similar to Shae Data cells, but simpler and not exposed to the user as Shape Data cells are
    4. They use the Acton section to set right click behaviour for the Type

Let us know if you have questions if you get stuck exploring these shapes,.... there is a lot there.

The usual way is to have multiple Geometry Sections and use Shape Data to control the Geometry sections visibility.

In addition to visibility, the shape data can control colour or the shape of the item in the Geometry section.
