I have my windows image corrupted on my computer but I don't know how to recover it, a friend told me that if I want to keep the information, install on the OS I already have and then recover the files because the boot was damaged, this may work.

Hi Chariotsilver-5943 ,
These are some options:
a) troubleshoot the boot failure
b) perform a custom install (save files) (applications and drivers need to be reinstalled)
c) perform a clean install (requires manually backing up any important files)
For custom install:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/120352-custom-install-windows-10-a.html
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-perform-a-custom-installation-of-windows/38adfa8c-32f8-4354-8c53-13b5f2cf7e44?auth=1
For clean install:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html
If you choose clean install then indicate if you need help backing up important files.

Hello,
I suggest you to perform repair upgrade:
Hope this helps!
Could you please provide the exact error message you receive and the make and model of your pc?
You may repair install to fix the problem.
There is a third party tool TestDisk-it's a Freeware you may try that too.
