(Excel Online) Pivot Table does not group dates as Year and Month like before

I have an existing Excel file with Pivot Table, which then i upload to OneDrive in order for me to access it on the go via Excel mobile app. Today when i refreshed the Pivot Table, the Field got jumbled up and i have identified that Month and Year field is missing. How to solve this issue?

I have tried to create a new table to feed a new Pivot Table which contains several Dates and Currency entry for simulation purpose. Result is the same as my main Excel file which the 2 fields went missing. Is there any recent update to the Excel Online that changed the behavior or does this feature only available for subscribed account?

Hi Lillian, previously there are additional PivotTable Fields labelled as Months and Years, which appeared automatically in the PivotTable panel. I believe these auto-added Fields is where the software recognized that the data that i keyed in are in Date format.

I specifically used the auto-added Fields (Years) to sort my PivotTable as the image attached, so that I can easily knew what year and month does my entry is for.

I found a post online where it mentioned that an empty cell or different format in a table may cause this issue. Thus the reason why I attached those Sample.xlsx where i try to replicate my use case in a new excel sheet, and found out the issue remains.

Hoping to hear from you soon.
