Hi,

After I setup email to OneNote, and send an email to ******@onenote.com with a subject line Test email and body Test email, the OneNote associated with the Microsoft account does not get updated with the message.

This is what I sent:

This is how it looks, how it has been all along. No section created for Test email. Any help with this please?

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. To ansewr your questions,

    1. I do not use the OneNote client with this email address, I use it with a business email address and I tried the same thing there too without success. Client or Web, the new section never shows up on OneNote according to the email.
    2. I only have one network, with uninterrupted 150 Mbps internet connection. I have been using that for my work all day for the last 4 years, conducting video calls etc, Did not feel the need of a different network.
    3. Tried with a different email address @outlook.com and the result is the same. The Test Email never shows up on the OneNote. I also tried adding an alias following your instructions. But it's confusing, and I don't get the options you showed in your screenshot. Here is what I get> A new tab opens up and asks me for this.

Now, my question: As a basic computer user, trying to get my job done, is there a way to get this working without having to go through the complications of switching network, creating alias, creating new email address etc? Can it not work just by following the instructions given on the support article?

Hello, CuriousRon.   Welcome to the Microsoft Community and I hope all is well.

Based on your description, I understand that you seem to be having issues sending emails to OneNote using outlook, and we do understand how you feel.  And based on the image you shared, you seem to be trying to view it in the web version of OneNote, in order to help you better, I would like to know.

    • Have you opened the client version of OneNote, the web version of OneNote and the client version of the application can not find the email you sent?
    • Have you tried to resend it by changing your network or personal hotspot? We suggest you to visit the following website, try to add a new account, and then resend the email.https://www.onenote.com/EmailToOneNoteUsing your previous account, try adding an alias. You can click Add another address on this page.Create a new email address (******@outlook.com).Then, in www.onenote.com, select New Email Address and send a note using your new email address.See if it works.  You can refer to this article for more details:Use email to send notes to OneNote notebooks - Microsoft Support We look forward to your further updates on this issue and we will provide you with further assistance, thanks.
