Cannot click on the hyperlinks in sharepoint list

We have SharePoint lists with hyperlinks. Recently the list format has been changed and users are unable to click on the hyperlinks. Its more like giving an editable view. How do i fix this? This impact all the lists we have in SharePoint

    • May I know what is the type of the column where you inserted the links?

    Kindly check if "hyperlink" column works if you only need to insert "links" in the column.

    However, if you are using other column types, like "multi lines text", SharePoint might not automatically detect "links" always. When you directly enter the URL, it will be detected as "plain text". In this situation, it is not clickable. To create clickable URL, it must be entered as "link".

    1. As I know, if you open the URL from Edge browser and copy it from Edge, it can be automatically detected as "link" in SP list.

    1. As alternative method, please use "Add or edit hyperlink" option to do it.

    Hi Sophia,

    Thanks for your response.

    1. The type of the column used in all lists are "hyperlink".
    2. When I click a hyperlink, it doesn't open the specific page in the Edge.
    3. I checked the values in the fields

    In the edit grid view, when i double click on the specific field in the column, it shows the link as invalid URL.

    There are two fields in the hyperlink column that we need to fill, One is Link and the Display text. for the Link I added the whole URL copied from the browser. ex: https://........./sitesname of the site. when I exit from the grid view it only take the URL as /sites/Site name (it doesn't take the whole URL including https:// and shows the error as invalid URL. Can this be the cause for the issue?

    Lists were working before and this issue happen recently and affect all lists in our SharePoint. Any advised on how to fix this?
