Map Chart in Excel Error

Hello All,

I am trying to plot a map chart with my data in excel. However, it's only showing part of the information on the map saying "We plotted 20% of the locations from your data with high confidence". I have worked with the data before. It was perfectly building the map. Now, when I opened the file, the map is plotting a few % of the data.

If anybody knows how to fix it or this is a version bug. Please let me know. Will appreciate your help.

    Additional Information:

Map will only fill in the values that are grey on the map. It only recognizes those states.

I am having the same issue with a map of European countries. The same data file and map worked perfectly about a year ago and displayed all European countries. Now, I open the same file and it only displays about half of the countries. It leaves out some (like France and Poland) that are spelled correctly and have not changed boundaries, even though in the data columns those appear to be recognized.

I have the same issue. I even opened someone else's file that shows a map with numbers from each State and they can see all the data. When I open it, it excludes the same states that I had issues with my own chart. Mine was only 11% plotted. This is maddening because I need to get this in a PPT...

I have the exact same issue, except plotting global countries. It works, showing the the global country view with certain countries highlighted, but then whole countries disapper. Like North America is now gone from the map, and it says it "we plotted 36% of your locations with high confidence".

Seems like a bug since it changes for no reason without any changes to the data or the Excel.

it's due to error in naming of states. some states require capital letter for starting, leaving space between words, or even removing double letters. try changing inital letter of those and reload it. It worked for me
