How do I change the language in the Excel developer menus from {foreign Language} to English when the language is already English for Excel?

I Use an English9UK) Version of MSO 365 provided by my company. Now here's the odd thing...

Everything is in English except the developer portion which is in Korean??? All the menus are in English in the standard interface but all the developer stuff is in Korean. I change the language to English in the standard Excel interface but it does nothing to change the developer language. Stumped. I've been using Excel since version 4. This is so weird. What can I do to get it changed into english? It is an organisation-wide problem and I have to teach some of our accounts people how to use VBA effectively to improve their data capture efficiency.

This is so strange.

    Hello Super_User_ZW

Thank you for your contribution to the Microsoft Community.

This is an interface problem, not a programming problem. In the regular interface it is dispayed in English yet in the VBA interface it is dispalying in Korean. How can that be possible? What settings need to be changed? It is exactly the same accross all the MS suite of VBA capable applicationsand I am in UK, I only understand English nad this is an English company I work for, so now what?

I know that VBA is better answered on mrexcel.com than here but this is not a VBA programming problem, it is a Microsoft Excel language display problem...

I'm guessing you never had a close look at the supplied image to understand the problem

I am pretty savvy when it comes to Microsoft products, having in a past life completed the entire training for MCSE. I have picked up some tips and ideas over the decades, but this had me stumped for many months. Why, in God's dear name, did MS decide to create a separate language system independent of the OS in Office? Must have been sensible reason, but here is the official UNDOCUMENTED SOLUTION now documented for you.

If you happen to be in this situation follow these simple steps:

    1. Close all office applications
    2. Change you Windows Regional Language settings to English (USA) AND
    3. Set that as your default language. If it is already English (USA), change it to English (UK) instead. Americanese is what Windoze woz og ritten wit.
    4. Press ctrl+esc, type Office language pref and open the MSO Language Preferences app and set your Office display language to match the OS.
    5. Click [OK]
    6. Open your office application and press [Alt]+[F11].
    7. Problem solved? You are welcome.
    8. Get on and write some good VBA stuff with a huge smile on your face, for me.
