Entra Cloud Sync Config deleted!

One of our analysts accidentally deleted the cloud sync configuration from Entra Cloud Sync. When trying to recreate the configuration in the same domain, we get the error that something went wrong. Is there a waiting period before recreating a configuration for the same domain where the previous one was deleted? How can We recover this configuration?
