Issue with forms Excel report for multiple choice question

I set up a Microsoft form and then later edited it to add a required multiple choice question. Yet, when I open the responses in Excel, none of these answers are showing, although they are showing in the responses report with the graph. How do I get them to show in the Excel, as I need a month by month breakdown of this information, which I can't get from the graph.

    Hi Rhian,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, this is abnormal behavior. I have tested it on my side and can't reproduce the same issue. So, I suggest you open the InPrivate browser window, go to the form, and check the workbook again. If the issue still occurs, I suggest you click the down arrow of the workbook and click "Disconnect and sync to a new workbook". After that, please check again.

If the suggestions above don't help, it is likely caused by the server. In this case, I suggest you contact your tenant admin or IT team to check the existing service incidents in your tenant via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Health> Service health. If there are any related service incidents in your tenant, please wait for the repair. If not, please have your tenant admin raise a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. That support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this problem. Sorry for the inconvenience that happened to you.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    George | Microsoft Community Moderator
