    Dear User,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and to my knowledge, I would like to convey that when the files or folders are shared from the personal OneDrive account to the OneDrive for Business, the shared files or folders can be added as a shortcuts only when it’s shared to the another personal OneDrive and sharing the OneDrive for Business account will not be able add them as a shortcuts.

Moreover, the error message you are encountering when you try to sign in with the Work/School account to access shared folder or files from the personal OneDrive is an expected because only personal Microsoft accounts can be signed in to the shared folders and files from the personal OneDrive account & add them as shortcuts.

I agree with you having the ability to access shared folders and files of personal OneDrive account using the Work/School account and adding them as a shortcuts will benefit the users and I request you to add your valuable idea as feedback in the OneDrive · Community (microsoft.com) which is the best place to share our ideas and improve the Microsoft products.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
