How to stop File Explorer from automatically opening up when launching OneDrive?

Hello all,

I did not manage to find a specific answer to this specific question. The question is: How to stop File Explorer from automatically opening up when launching OneDrive?

For clarity, what I mean is that when I launch OneDrive in Windows 11 (I disabled it on startup), File Explorer opens up automatically. I want to disable this, as usually I have File Explorer already open so I get an unnecessary window open. I want to disable this (and a contrario sensu, I would assume the possibility to enable it if I so decide).

Thank you for any assistance.

Best Regards,
Edric.

    Hello Avv. E,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Gunasekar and I'm happy to help.

You can access and manage your OneDrive files and folders only in File explorer. In Windows, this is the primary way to access and manage OneDrive files on your Windows PC. You can browse, create, edit, and delete files directly within File Explorer.

If you have file explorer already Open, you can launch OneDrive directly here. (See image 1)
