I have created three tables with answers from street interview including the headings. I have created charts before without issue.

I have already tried selecting only one column without the headings but that also doesn't work. If I select the whole table I get the following pop up when I try to create a simple pie chart:

A chart plots numeric data. If you want to show how many times Candle, Ceramics etc. have been selected, create a pivot table based on the data, then create a chart from the pivot table.

I want a table showing which one is chosen most as first option then second option, etc. So, Flower is chosen most as first option for example, I could count this but I need it in a visual.

I could have three charts, one for the 1st choice, one for the 2nd choice, and one for the 3rd. showing which class is chosen most by which age group.

I'd create a pivot table with Age Group as row labels, and 1st Choice as both column labels and value field.

I'd then create a stacked column chart (or bar chart) from the pivot table:

it worked thank you! but when I try to do it for the other two tables the pivot table looks different and it won't work the same. maybe because there is too little data? I have already tried deleting the respondents so only the age group and 1st choice appears but that doesn't work

Which field did you add to the Rows area? It looks like you added Age Group to the Columns area instead of to the Rows area.
