I was working on a story that I was hoping to post for my instagram and/or twitter and all of a sudden, I open my document to find it telling me, "Sorry, something went wrong Item does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user." I am completely confused and pissed as now I have to restart the story all over again. And it isn't for this one, it's for all my documents. Please someone help.

    Dear Erik,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

I understand that when you access your document, you encounter the error "Sorry, something went wrong. The item does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user. "

I'm sorry to hear about this and I fully understand your concern and the inconvenience this has caused you.

Depending on the partition you have selected, it appears that you are experiencing this issue when accessing documents saved to OneDrive. Such problems may also be due to temporary server fluctuations that cause access anomalies.

You can try logging into OneDrive for web versus OneDrive for mobileto see if the same inaccessibility issue occurs.

You can also try logging out of your account on OneDrive and logging back in, as well as restarting your computer, which may also help in resolving such issues.

For a file stored in OneDrive or a SharePoint Online library, you can go back to an earlier version of the file and restore it.

    1. Go to OneDrive for web and find the file you want to restore and right click on it.
    2. If the file has previous versions, you'll see a button named Version History. Select it to see the list of versions.
    3. In the Version History pane on the right, select a version to view it.
    4. Once you've chosen the version you want to restore, select the Restore button located below the toolbar.

Please refer to the above program first, please feel free to update us with any results, and we look forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,
