Hello,

A user encounter regularly a problem of language change on Office 365 profile parameters. He sets the languages as French, English and German to check spelling in these languages. Sometimes, this parameters breaks with no action. He's using the new Outlook version. Is this a known problem ? I don't find any information about this.

    Hello,

thanks for your comeback. The user told me that he doesn't encounted the problem with others Office apps. I'll do a ticket.

    Hello EricF_Scale

Thank you for posting in Microsoft community

It seems that the user is experiencing an issue with the language settings in their Office 365 profile, where the preferred languages for spell

checking keep reverting or changing unexpectedly.

This appears to be a known problem, although there may not be extensive public documentation about it. Based on the provided contexts, the issue

the user is facing is common. Several users have reported similar problems with the language settings in Office 365, where the preferred languages

for spell checking keep changing or reverting to a different language, even after they have been explicitly set.

The problem seems to be more prevalent in the newer versions of Outlook, as the user has mentioned they are using the "new Outlook version".

While there may not be a comprehensive public documentation on this issue, Microsoft is aware of it, as language settings and spell

checking are critical features for Office 365 users.

In the meantime, the user can try the following steps to try to mitigate the issue:

    1. Ensure that the preferred languages are correctly set in the Office 365 language settings.
    2. Check if the issue persists across different Office 365 applications, not just Outlook.
    3. Look for any updates or patches released by Microsoft that may address this problem.
    4. Reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance and guidance on resolving the language settings issue.

You can also have a remote session with a Microsoft engineer to investigate the issue further. As a forum supporter, we do not have sufficient permissions and resources to conduct research directly. We recommend that you contact your Microsoft 365 administrator and follow the steps

in this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/get-help-support?view=o365-worldwide&tabs=online#online-support to create a support ticket to Microsoft.

Kindly repost if you need any further assistance from our side, we will be happy to help you further.

    Sincerely,

    Bertrand
