Task Name: "Develop Feature A"

Duration: 7 days

Start Date: 8 April 2024

End Date: 27 June 2024

% complete: 71%

remaining work 151.5 hours but when I extracted the Timephased dataset to power bi, i got the below: 24/06/2024 69.77 hours

25/06/2024 75.75 hours

26/06/2024 6.98 hours

the total of three days above is 151.5 hours, the project phased correctly of 9.6 hours in the first 5 days, but the upcoming weeks are 0

    Dear User,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Per the data you provided, it seems that there is a discrepancy between the remaining work in the project server and the extracted Timephased dataset in Power BI. The remaining work should match across both sources, but it appears to be different for the upcoming weeks.

If my understanding of the scenario is right, I recommend you double-check the data extraction process, ensure that the Timephased dataset is being extracted accurately from the project server to Power BI. Also verify that the data is being imported correctly, including the date ranges and corresponding work hours.

You may review the calculations or transformations being performed on the Timephased dataset within Power BI. Check if any filters or aggregations are being applied incorrectly, which may be causing the discrepancy in the remaining work.

In addition, I will keep this thread open. Welcome community members and MVPs who have similar experience to share suggestions here.

Thanks for your time and cooperation!

Hope you have a nice day!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator
