Visio objects inserted in a table in word document won't print

Hi everyone,

I am facing this strange situation. I have certain objects in a visio file that I need to insert in a table in a word file.

When I copy and paste an object in a blank space in the word file and I print the page from the word file to my printer the object is printed as it appears in the word file.

When I copy and paste the object in a table in my word file and I print the page from the word file to my printer the object does not show up correctly on the printed page. Only the text that is part of the objects get's printed but nothing else, no lines, no shapes no shades. In the print preview the object appears as it should. If I choose to save the file as pdf, the object appears as it should on the pdf file. When printing the page from the pdf file to my printer the object prints out correctly.

Therefore, it seams there is a problem with printing out the object only when it is inserted in a table and sending it directly through the printer.

Am I missing something?

For reference, I found on the forum a question from another user with a similar problem but the recommended answer is not solving the problem: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/visio-drawings-wont-print-from-word-2010-on-some/6964341b-87a2-45cc-95f6-3af994f3772e

Thanks!
