Dear support,

what will happen when a team member, who created a workspace for our global coorperation will leave the company? Will the Workspace be deleted together with his account?

In case yes, is there a way to prevent this?

And where are the workspaces located in Sharepoint? Is it also a file like a component?

Kind regards,

Enno

    Dear Enno,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and I have done some search, where I understand that when the user who created the Loop workspace left the company or the organization, the Loop workspace created by the user will not be deleted but the Loop workspace will be ownerless and it’s not possible for the admins to assign another owners to the ownerless workspace:

Reference: Overview of Loop workspaces storage and permissions | Microsoft Learn

Regarding the workspaces located, it depends on the where the Loop workspace is created:

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia

What is the consequence of a ownerless workspace? How are the members of the ownerless workspace affected by that? So far I do not see any difference between the capabilities of a owner and member? In a shared workspace where i have been added as a member I can do anything that I can do with the workspaces I created myself. I can even delete it. Is this meant to be this way or is this an error on your end?

How are the capabilities different between these two roles by design?
