How do I open Network folder pathway using browser excel when I can do the same thing with my desktop excel app?

Good day,

I have a network G drive with my colleagues who have all access to it and in my browser version of excel, when I open up that cell, I get an error saying as the subject, "Can't open link" and then goes on to say, "This link may have an incorrect or missing address, or it may refer to a local file. Check it or try again with the desktop app.". Now with the desktop app, it runs perfectly. It opens up the directory. This is the cell link that I used:

=HYPERLINK("http:\Common\CProgram\HReports")

I want to share the link in the browser version of excel and open it without any hassle.

As far as I know,online Excel only be applied to open files saved in One Driver rather than LAN or local storage.
