My onedrive is acting up. I have a department shared folder linked to my desktop and I am losing my files on it. There is a different version of the same file when viewed online and when viewed on desktop. I am losing work because of this issue. Facing this not only on the department folder, but on my personal drive as well.

Have unlinked and logged in again, revoked access and given complete access. Tried all the solutions given online for syncing problems.

    Dear Hussain Ashiq Rangwala,

Good day! Thank you for posting in our community. Your question is "Onedrive syncing issues".

To have further investigation, could you please share a picture of the current file sync status and a picture of OneDrive app status on notification area?

Besides, I would like to share some suggestion for this type of issue.

    1. Keep a backup of your current desktop files.
    2. "Stop sync" all shared folders one by one and then "unlink this PC" as well from OneDrive settings >> Accounts.

    1. After that, please close OneDrive App. Then clear cache from here.
      C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache
    2. View the shared folders from Online, click "sync" button to re-sync it. When it requires choose location, please choose a different local folder for the syncing files, for example, C:\New Folder.

    1. Please wait for all the files finish syncing while all files sync icon should turn blue cloud icon or green tick icon. That refers syncing finished without any problem. Otherwise, it would refers the file syncing is encountering problems and syncing couldn't finish.

Then please check if online files version are same as local. And you can also reupload the local backup files if necessary.
