Powerpoint default settings for inserting audio.

I am using PowerPoint on PC within Microsoft 365. I frequently need to add audio to slides. Is there anyway to set "When Clicked On" and "Play across slides" as the default when inserting? At the moment I have to change those settings every time I insert audio.

There's no simple way to set those as defaults. It's possible to write a macro that changes those parameters for a selected sound. Then you could save that macro in a VBA add-in and install the add-in on your system, so it's always available to every presentation. You would still have to run the macro with a keyboard shortcut or a QAT shortcut after every audio insertion.
