Microsoft Lists - Calculated Value Formula does not work

I am attempting to create a Quote builder using Microsoft Lists. The person building the quote would need to enter the Budget Hours and Budget Rate and then I am attempting to create an automated formula that would multiply these two columns, but it states "A formula has a spelling mistake or refers to a column that does not exist.". I took the existing formula from SharePoint support so I'm not sure why it's not working as the columns are already created. For reference, this is the formula I'm using =[Column5]*[Column6]

    Hi Ann,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

The formula is correct. To troubleshoot the situation, I would like to know the column settings of the Budget Hours column and the Budget Rate column. You can click the down arrow next to the column, Column settings, Edit, and then take a full screenshot of the "Edit column" pane. After that, click "Insert Image" to upload the screenshots.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
