Hi,

I currently have a Microsoft List where the "Title of XXXX" column is Type: Hyperlink. The "alternative text" displays the title and the url links to the title's page on the website. I want to duplicate this list, but using Type: Single line of text, and for the single line of text to duplicate the alternative text that is displayed in column "Title of XXXX" without a hyperlink. Basically, I want to duplicate the "Title of XXXX" column's text without the hyperlink.

Is this possible? ]

Thanks!

Hi Dan,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

Regarding your query, it is possible. I suggest you try the following steps to copy the alternative text to the Text column as shown in the gif below.

  1. In the list, please click Export> Export to Excel.
  2. Open the .iqy file in Excel, select cells under the Hyperlink column, and press Ctrl + C to copy.
  3. Go back to the list, click "Edit in grid view", select the first cell under the Text column, and press Ctrl + V to paste.
